Income derived from these activities is generally taxed at 9% unless the recipient is a Free Zone Person and the activity does not fall under 'Excluded Activities'. However, as a regulated professional service, it often fails the 'Qualifying Activity' test for 0% preferential rates on third-party or mainland revenue.

Reclassifying third-party professional service fees as 'Headquarter Services' or 'Treasury/Financing' to Related Parties to illicitly access the 0% regime.
